The Physical Activity, Sport and Health (PASH) research group aims to improve knowledge on the beneficial effects of physical activity on individuals’ health with and without disease and of any age, as well as on the mechanisms leading to the development of sports injury.
Dr. Laurent Malisoux, PhD, head of this research group, and Dr. Mathilde Mura, PhD, postdoctoral researcher, are seeking a Master student for a project focusing on the link between free-living physical activity clinical outcomes related to hip and knee osteoarthritis. While exercise interventions are well studied, less is known about how daily activity patterns and physical activity promotion in unsupervised programs influence pain outcomes in patients with osteoarthritis. The aim is to conduct a systematic review of the existing literature to address this gap.
The student tasks will be to prepare the registration documents (e.g., PROSPERO), refine and test the search algorithm in relevant databases, import search results into review software, and perform title/abstract and then article screening with another reviewer. Finally, the student will draft the review plan, including data extraction and synthesis strategy.
