Abstract

Artificial Intelligence is redefining oncology—from early detection to personalized therapy. In this presentation, Dr. Titus Brinker, specialist in dermatology and head of the AI Division at the German Cancer Research Center, explores how AI extends survival and quality of life for cancer patients.

AI-powered tools already assist in identifying malignancies with greater speed and precision than ever before, especially in radiology and dermatological oncology. Digital patient twins and
real-time lab data analysis enable tailored treatment
plans that adapt as the disease evolves. Prevention is also entering a new era: intelligent apps simulate skin cancer risks to influence real behavior.

Brinker emphasizes that AI augments oncologists, accelerating decisions while preserving human judgment. The presentation addresses the emotional burden on medical staff and the ethical use of patient data. In a data-driven future, AI isn’t just a tool—it’s a life-extending ally in the fight against cancer
