NextImmune - PhD Training Program
Scientific advisory board
Scientific DTU supervision: NextImmune has implemented an external DTU Advisory Board that will consult with NextImmune in questions of strategy, research direction and recruitment of PhD students. The DTU’s Advisory Board is composed of high ranking international experts. Confirmed members of NextImmune’s Advisory Board are listed in the table below:
- Prof Tak W. Mak (University of Toronto, Canada, one of the most influential and cited immunologists worldwide);
- Prof Cezmi A. Akdis (Director of the Swiss Institute of Allergy and Asthma Research (SIAF), Davos, Switzerland);
- Prof Michael Meyer-Hermann (Director of the Department Systems Immunology at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research, Braunschweig, Germany);
- Prof Gabriel Nunez (Paul de Kruif Professor of Pathology, Department of Pathology, University of Michigan, USA);
- Prof Cynthia Sears (Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, member of the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, USA).
In addition, Prof Carsten Schmidt-Weber, Director of the Center of Allergy and Environment (ZAUM), Technical University and Helmholtz Center Munich, Germany, accepted to serve as an ad hoc external Scientific Advisor at the Inaugural NextImmune Scientific retreat which was held in Mondorf-les-Bains on November 2nd and 3rd, 2017.
Prof Jan Baumbach, Chair of Experimental Bioinformatics, Technical University of Munich (TUM), Munich, Germany, accepted to serve as an ad hoc external Scientific Advisor at the 2nd NextImmune International Scientific Retreat in Luxembourg on May 7th to 9th, 2019.
