The Clinical Research Luxembourg Conference, co-organized this year on 29th and 30th September by the Luxembourg Research Clinic (LRC) and Healthcare Week Luxembourg, was once again a great success, attracting researchers, clinicians, and healthcare professionals from across Luxembourg and beyond.
This year, Dr. Anna-Maria Charatsi and Dr. Christiane Hilger had the opportunity to present the Care4Asthma project, a clinical study on paediatric asthma, carried out in close collaboration with the Kannerklinik Luxembourg, and our partner Meracle Health, Luxembourg. Care4Asthma aims to improve pediatric asthma management by ameliorating the technique of ICS inhalation and adherence to treatment while identifying immune signatures and risk factors associated with asthma control.
Dr. Melike Gezen from the team of Dr. Annette Kuehn presented a poster on the IFAM project, a scientific study embedded in the clinical cohort Markers4Care. Markers4Care is an oral immunotherapy cohort in paediatric food allergy, conducted in collaboration with Dr. Françoise Morel from the Kannerklinik Luxembourg. While Markers4Care focuses on immune restoration during food allergy treatment, the presentation highlighted the clinical relevance of an ex vivo effector cell reactivity assay as a pre-therapy stratification tool.
We would like to specifically acknowledge the support by the Clinical and Epidemiological Investigation Center (CIEC), the Integrated Biobank of Luxembourg (IBBL), as well as all teams at the CHL and LIH involved in the study.
