Succesful PhD Defence by Lara Haase from the Cancer Metabolism Group

On Thursday morning the 16th of November, Lara Haase obtained her PhD degree from the University of Luxembourg and can now call herself Dr Haase.

A big congratulations from LIH and from her group for a successful defence of her thesis entitled “The role of IRG1 in atherosclerosis”.

Both the PhD jury members and the audience were convinced of her impressive work on different atherosclerosis models both in vivo and ex vivo, which was carried out in the Cancer Metabolism Group (CMG). Dr Haase is now the 3rd successful PhD from the CMG under the supervision of Dr Johannes Meiser.

Lara Haase was working both at Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine in the Department of Translational Research and at The Department of Cancer Research (DoCR) the past 4 years. Dr Haase will continue to work at the DoCR until March.
