Support for Postdoctoral Researchers

At LIH, we are committed to cultivating a supportive and stimulating environment where postdoctoral researchers can thrive professionally and personally.

Approximately 60 postdoctoral researchers are currently working at LIH, supported by national and international competitive grants. They are part of a collaborative community that meets regularly to share experiences, exchange ideas, and stay connected.

To support their development, LIH offers:

  • Training opportunities tailored to enhance professional and transferable skills
  • Annual progress reviews, including goal setting and performance evaluation
  • Support for initiatives such as science communication, journal club, peer mentoring, or knowledge transfer
  • Communication via internal newsletter on relevant events, grant opportunities or training resources
  • Postdoc-only meetings and social events fostering inclusion and cohesion

We aim to:

  • Ensure optimal working conditions and quality supervision
  • Provide targeted training through the ECRTraining @LIH series
  • Support career development and guidance
  • Promote both scientific and social peer interactions
  • Serve as a dedicated contact point for postdoctoral support
