Program Manager


Purpose of the position

The Program Manager is responsible for the general management of research projects all along their lifecycle from the proposal to the implementation stages. S/he assists the Department Director in the day-to-day management of practical and administrative aspects of strategic research projects; participates in the establishment, writing and coordination of large collaborative projects in Digital Health at the national and international level. S/he identifies opportunities for funding, public-private-partnerships and for valorization of research outcomes. S/he is also involved in the dissemination of knowledge and in the promotion of scientific and technical information. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Organize and coordinate administrative tasks in the research department.
  • Assist in the writing and establishment of consortium project applications
  • Lead the project management, coordination and administrative follow up of projects.
  • Maintain scientific communication activities (e.g. websites, presentations, posters, press and general public).
  • Stakeholder management with national and international partners (e.g. plan and coordinate meetings, deliverables, joint activities, information exchange)
  • Identify opportunities for participation (e.g. funding, awards), scientific collaborations and public private partnerships 
  • Expand interactions with national and international health-tech and healthcare ecosystems and increase visibility of the department.
  • Participate in the quality assurance procedure (evaluation process, drafting procedures, etc.), implementation of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and their validation process.

Key Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Master or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline
  • Medical education would be a plus 
  • Proven experience in scientific writing and project management.
  • Knowledge of the operating rules and administrative procedures of a public research organization;
  • Good knowledge in project financial and administrative management;
  • Process oriented with excellent planning and organizational skills; 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; 
  • Ability to work in a multinational environment and interact positively with advisors and regulatory authorities
  • Flexibility, adaptability, autonomy, target and detail oriented;
  • Good negotiation and diplomatic skills to push projects firmly but diplomatically 
  • Language skills: fluent command of English and French written and oral (a third language would be a plus).
