Abstract

Large-scale genetic studies combined with comprehensive immune phenotyping provide a window into the in vivo regulation of human immunity and its role in disease.

I will present recent work mapping the genetic architecture of immune cell traits and immunoglobulin levels at population scale and high resolution, and discuss how integrating genetic associations with functional genomics can uncover the mechanisms underlying immune variation and disease susceptibility.

Finally, I will highlight opportunities to translate these insights into a better understanding of immunological disease.
