From data to decisions: driving personalized medicine

Abstract

Personalized medicine depends on the effective integration and use of clinical and research data. At the University Medical Center Freiburg, data-driven approaches are essential for advancing precision medicine and improving patient care. Within the Comprehensive Cancer Center Freiburg (CCCF), clinical, molecular, imaging and pathology data are integrated to support individualized treatment decisions, translational research, and biomarker development. These activities are embedded in interoperable digital infrastructures that enable secure and standardized data use. This presentation will highlight how integrated data ecosystems can accelerate innovation, improve clinical decision-making, and bridge research and routine care, ultimately driving the implementation of personalized medicine.
