Activities

Dr Alexis Lion holds a PhD in Health and Life Sciences from the University of Lorraine (France). He worked on the evaluation of postural control according to different paradigms (sport, pathologies) and has been involved in research concerning the epidemiology and prevention of sports injuries. He is interested in the promotion of health-enhancing physical activity and is currently the project leader of ‘Sport-Santé’.

The project ‘Sport-Santé’ aims to support the promotion of physical activity as a therapeutic adjuvant and a means for health protection after an illness or an accident in Luxembourg. This project is supported by ‘Œuvre Nationale de Secours Grande-Duchesse Charlotte’.

Since 2016, the Luxembourg Institute of Health is an official member of HEPA Europe (the European network for the promotion of health-enhancing physical activity), which works closely with the European section of the World Health Organization.
