CON-VINCE Study - Behind the scenes (PART I)
On 8th April, the CON-VINCE study was officially launched, with the aim to assess the spread dynamics of the COVID-19 disease among the Luxembourgish population.
Biostatistician - MV0519
The Biostatistician will join the LIH’s Competence Center for Methodology and Statistics (CCMS).Within the clinical research hub of the Department of Population Health, the CCMS provides methodological support in statistical planning and analysis and data handling for various laboratories and research groups as well as offering training in statistics and support in writing papers.
Large scale COVID-19 testing
As part of the deconfinement, Luxembourg is calling on its residents and cross-border workers to get tested for COVID-19. It aims to limit the spread of the novel corona virus by voluntary extensive testing until the end of July. This will allow to break infection chains and thus protect family, friends and colleagues. The more tests are carried out, the more new infections can be prevented and the safer everyday life will be.

The Executive Assistant assumes secretarial responsibility for the Executive Committee & the Board of Directors, oversees the receptions’ staff, checks Institute’s expenses report, manages the received donations and donors relationships and coordinates with insurers
2020 Career Launchpad Award for LIH post-doctoral fellow
Dr Nicole Kiweler, post-doctoral fellow within the Cancer Metabolism Group of the LIH Department of Oncology (DONC), was awarded a EUR 10,000 grant under the LIH Wolfgang Baertz Career Launchpad Award (Legs W. Baertz) programme at the end of March 2020.
