The Health Economics & Evidence Synthesis Research Unit (HEESRU) aims to develop and promote the application of state-of-the-art economic methods to improve health and health care in Luxembourg.


The Health Economics & Evidence Synthesis Research Unit aims at :

  • Developing a research program on Health economics and personalized medicine
  • Growing a research team and research expertise to support Luxembourg health sector developments by building strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders in Luxembourg and beyond
  • Providing expert advice to the Luxembourg government on the assessment of new health technologies in the development and scaling-up of evidence-based policies and programs in collaboration with the Centre of Health Economics, University of York, UK (Prof Andrea Manca) and the University of Twente, the Nederlands (Prof Dr Maarten Ijzerman).
