Transversal Translational Medicine (TTM) at the LIH,led by Prof Rejko Krueger, creates a translational bridge between fundamentalresearch and the clinic so that prevention, diagnosis and therapy may helppatients in Luxembourg and beyond. To support the Director of TTM, we arecurrently looking for a highly motivated research-focused neuropsychologist whoenjoys making a difference and being part of a team. The neuropsychologist isassigned to transversal translational research programs run by TTM.

Key Accountabilities
  • General research tasks:
    - Define technical characteristics for scientific/clinical activities, and conduct research projects from conception to implementation.
    - Collect, assemble and evaluate research data (fundamental and clinical).
    - Develop research methodologies and integrate new technologies.
    - Develop pilot studies and experimental settings and apply to existing protocols.
    - Analyses and interpretation of research findings obtained.
    - Editing and sign-off on preliminary research reports.
    - Prepare and submit scientific manuscripts for peer review for publication independently or in collaboration with other researchers.
  • More precisely tasks:
    - Setup and optimization of concepts for the implementation of clinical research.
    - Coordination of scientific projects related to clinical and experimental neuroscience.
    - Networking with collaborators and stakeholders for clinical research.
    - Coordinate study program with national and international collaboration partners on cohort projects.
    - Setup and optimization of workflows for patient recruitment.
    - Performing clinical testing and neurological examinations.
    - Applying tests for assessing functions in different neurological disorders.
    - Interview patients according to study case report form (CRF).
    - Acquire and store clinical data based on paper-CRF and eCRF.
    - Develop study programs with national and international collaboration partners for patient cohorts.
    - Teach students on clinical aspects of neurodegenerative disorders.

  • Master 2 in neuropsychology.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English, French and German, and oral communication skills in Luxembourgish are desirable. Knowledge of any other language will be seen as an asset.
  • Ability to adapt and excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • As a self-starter, working with minimum supervision, you will take ownership of your tasks and take pride in providing a high level of service. Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong communication skills as well as solid stakeholder management skills.
  • Practical experience in healthcare/science will be seen as asset.
  • High level competency in MS Office.
