Program Manager in Personalised Medicine Development - FG0219

The Program Manager will be in charge of atranslational, collaborative and multidisciplinary program for fosteringpersonalized medicine in the field of various cancers. The program aims in theclinical development, its validation and eventually its exploitation of ahighly innovative diagnostic tool as well as its seamless integration into theLuxembourgish ecosystem. The Program manager will, in close relation with theresponsible PI, the respective department heads, and external clinical partnersensure the initiation, planning and successful development of the program frombed to bench to bed towards the market.

Key Accountabilities
  • Definition of the short and long term strategy, the scope and associated work packages of the program
  • Overall management from inception to delivery (involving activity planning and sequencing, GoNoGo decision points and deliverables, management of risk and issues, resource planning, developing schedules, time and cost estimation and budgeting)
  • Coordination of a multidisciplinary team and collaborative external partners
  • Business Development involving the integration of new valuable partners, the exploitation of national and international funding opportunities, as well as the conduction of the program towards defined value inflection points.
  • Documentation and communication of the program internally and to the outside
  • Monitoring and Reporting Progress
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • PhD in Biosciences or related fields
  • At least 6 years of experience in the conduction of multidisciplinary translational research projects in an international context including project management for personalized medicine in the field of oncology needed.  Skills in regulatory affairs would be a plus.
  • Experienced in Business Development and Initiation of collaborative projects involving partners from academia, hospitals and industry.
  • Skills in negotiation and contractualization, intellectual property and exploitation rights. Some knowledge of the development of a business plan would be a plus.
  • Skills in leadership, critical thinking and decision making
  • Strong oral and written communication skills,
  • Exceptional transversal management skills, ability to resolve conflicts and team building spirit
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
  • The program manager should be used to working on its own initiative and autonomously
  • Language skills: Fluent in English; German and French would be a plus
